Clovia invited its customers to donate their old bras which in return made them eligible for a discount of Rs 200 on their purchase with the brand. Respun then took over the task and ensured that undergarments were sorted and responsibly recycled. Respun then uses the material in these recycled items to produce mats, yarns, carpets and recycled fibres allowing employment and empowering many women from underprivileged communities. 

The end goal – to take environmental sustainability to a whole another level, provide a second life to garments that seem confusing and especially ensure employment to underprivileged women. This collaboration extends beyond the idea of recycling – it’s about starting conversations about “invisible” and “ignored” fashion waste, it’s about offering real solutions to real problems which are neglected.
